WILD & SCENIC FILM FESTIVAL

WILD & SCENIC FILM FESTIVAL

Knowledge in Motion (KIM) is hosting the 2014 Wild & Scenic Film Festival at the Doris Duke Theatre in Honolulu on May 24 & 25, 2014. The Wild & Scenic On Tour is one of the largest environmental film festivals hosted throughout major cities in North America. This festival hosts two days of thought-provoking, environmental documentaries that speak to the questions of sustainability not only in Hawaii, but around the world.

This year’s festival is dedicated to supporting environmental education initiatives for Hālau Kū Mana Public Charter School. Founded in 1999, Halau Ku Mana is a community-, culture-, and place-based school in Makiki, serving Oahu students in grades 4 through 12.  They are 120 students strong across seven projects that seek to instill community and environmental stewardship through an academically rigorous curriculum.
