Perhaps you have seen them while enjoying the beaches or perhaps you even volunteered to help in the annual whale counts we do, as spotlighted in our previous blog, but now is the time to view our seasonal visitors “up close and personal”! The winter rains have abated and getting out on the ocean is a great way to soak up the sun, enjoy the north shore from a different perspective, and get to witness the fun-loving antics of our awesome winter visitors, the humpback whales! They can put on quite a show and seeing them up close, from the vantage point of a boat, is truly breath-taking. One company that offers whale-watching tours is North Shore Catamaran Charters, which leaves out of Haleiwa harbor. So enjoy the weather, the view, a ride on the ocean, and the spectacle of our winter whale season!
