Oahu’s North Shore

Oahu’s North Shore

Making a Trip Out to Oahu’s North Shore

While Honolulu has its city lights and its iconic Diamond Head and Waikiki, you don’t want to miss treating yourself to a visit to Oahu’s North Shore! It is, of course, renowned for its many gorgeous beaches, and it’s awesome surf is majestic to behold! You might enjoy watching the surfers at Waimea Bay, or you could go for a hike to a waterfall in Waimea Valley. Try some stand-up paddling, or go for a swim with sea turtles, or take in a beautiful sunset at none other than Sunset Beach. There is deep sea fishing out of Haleiwa Harbor, or, if you are really adventurous, go skydiving or on a glider ride for a “bird’s eye view” of the North Shore!

When you want to take a break from the beach, you can find lots of great places for lunch, dinner, or shopping in historic Haleiwa. From a tasty shave ice treat to amazing island artwork to fragrant island soaps that you can watch being made in a local soap factory, there is lots of variety to be found here! The list of things to see and do “out in the country” will make you glad you took a break from the city and made a trip to Oahu’s North Shore
